New York, 2007

The project is located in Upper West Side of Manhattan and is the future home for the students of Columbia University. The building is the connection between the river, the highway and the park next to it. This means that it has to solve fluxes of people and cars on two different levels. This gave to opportunity for designing an elevated plaza on the level that leads to a park on the ground floor. Thus the project has an important urban role as it serves the whole neighborhood by connecting the area with the highway and the Riverside Park.
