Alp, Pyreneese Mountain, Spain 2005

The central hotel of Masella offers a continuation of the ski tracks by a pedestrian bridge above the road, until the panoramic terrace where the Cerdanya Valley can be seen. From there a lift connects with the ground floor level, the lower squares and the underground parking. The project strives for maximum integration between the artificial landscape of the hotel and the natural conditions of the site. The volume of the building is fragmented in order to adapt to the inclined terrain, creating permeability on the inside and outside of the public space, which is organized on different levels. The distribution of the residential cells provides maximum view to the landscape and comfort for the living space.
